Visual Arts / Creative Sewing
Monday, Tuesday and Fridays
Learning new skills through art is fun and a fantastic way to give children different ways of communication.
Some of the benefits of practicing visual arts are:
Allow you to express yourself creatively.
Teach us about materials and processes.
Build problem-solving skills.
Boost your confidence and self esteem.
Boost literacy skills.
Give you a sense of accomplishment.
Develop fine motor skills.
Kids Circle offers Visual Arts classes on Tuesday afternoon. Our program will give children the opportunity to create and express themselves through art. Children will be able to explore and learn to work with charcoal, crayons, soft/oil pastels, watercolour, acrylic and oil paintings as well as using other media to incorporate different effects, all in a very fun and safe way.
Our Visual Arts teacher is Oormila Vijayakrishnan, she
is an expressionist, who has been painting in Acrylics for over 20 years. She finds inspiration in her surroundings and many of her paintings are inspired by the places in which she has lived. She likes to paint with energetic strokes and bright, bold color, celebrating beauty in her art.
Oormila has experience teaching multiple arts techniques and she has had the opportunity to exhibit her work in Kuwait, India, Singapore, and Australia. Her work can be found in private collections all over the world and we feel lucky to have her in our team!
